Mertronics Model SS1000 is a medium power AC simulator used for
stressing large lots of diodes to a half sine forward current at a 60Hz rate followed by a reverse half sine peak HV.
The SS1000 consist of a single 19 inch rack mount chassis with all
controls and associated digital displays needed to establish the desired
AVERAGE forward current and PIV from two seperate isolated SCR
controlled power transformers.
The unit incorporates a 6 position switch to assist in obtaining a
balanced load between each leg due to variations in lead lengths and
load tolerances.
Two digital LED displays are used to establish and monoitor the total
AVERAGE FORWARD CURRENT for each leg, and PEAK INVERSE
VOLTAGE for each leg.
