CFM12-350 Capacitor Fault Monitor
Model CFM12-350 Capacitor Fault Monitor is a 12 channel instrument designed to meet the requirements to detect for
intermittent OPENS and SHORTS of 0.50msec or greater of
capacitors during vibration and shock testing per the following
MIl-SPEC.
MIL-PRF-39003J, MIL-PRF-39006G, MIL-PRF-39014
MIL-PRF-49470 MIL-PRF-55365, MIL-PRF-83421E
The unit is self contained and incorporates 12 channels of
individual programmable test voltages from 5 to +350 VDC.
To detect for an OPEN, the CHARGE voltage is modulated by a
40KHz sine wave that senses the XC (capacitance reactance) of
the test capacitor.
To detect for a SHORT, a reference voltage tracks the SET voltage
and senses for a drop of 10% from the CHARGE voltage.
Connection to U.U.T are made using (3) 4 position test terminals
with SMA coaxial cables.
Detection time sensitivity: 0.50msec +/-25usec.
